I highly recommend getting in the options and turning on Always Dash.

If you are playing on a computer:      Action = Enter

                                                                          Back = Backspace

                                                                          Pause = Esc/0

You can also play this game with any wired or wireless controller. 

When playing on a phone, you cannot hit pause.
